Description: Long, rectangular cream silk shawl printed with dense pattern of large floral boteh, with outer border pattern of floral ribbon in shades of pink, green, blue and red. Two ends finished with tied-on, knotted fringe.

Provenance/Ownership History: Until 1887, Margaret Gwatkin Francis (1815-1887) of Chopstow, Wales and later Ontario, Canada; Gift from Emily M. Bell (great great granddaughter of Francis) to the MFA, 2008
