Description: Medium brown sleeveless v-neck dress with a standing collar and eight knotted buttons down the center front. Seaming at bust and princess lines at front (with a slit pocket on each side) and back ending with a knot at the hem. Large running stitch around collar and down front of dress. Back of dress is cut in at shoulders, exposing shoulder blades. Lined in medium brown silk plain weave. Tan braided suede belt with metal closure attaches at two loops at high waist.

Provenance/Ownership History: Before 2008, purchased by donor, Chestnut Hill, MA; gift to the MFA (December 17, 2008).
