Description: Man's jacket made of Morris & Co. "Bachelor Buttons" fabric, with large-scale flowers and leaves in orange and gold colorway. Light blue lining with inner pocket above a large blue and white rectangular label with a blue mushroom within a white sun below which reads: "Granny/Takes a Trip/The World's End/Chelsea." Jacket worn by Barry Miles, author and part of Swinging London scene in the 60s.

Provenance/Ownership History: About 1967, created by tailor John Pearse for Barry Miles at the boutique Granny Takes a Trip in London; purchased from Pearse by the MFA (Accession date: September 16, 2009)
