Description: Whale's tooth with delicate white-metal chain connecting tip to base. At tip and base of tooth are painted (incised? burned?) decoration of repeated floral scroll pattern.

Provenance/Ownership History: 1975, purchased in Khabarosk, Sibera, Russia by Dr. Solange Petit-Skinner, Boston, MA; 2010, gift of Solange Skinner to the MFA (Accession date: January 26, 2011)
