Description: Silk taffeta jacket or blazer chiné printed with a design of black or dark brown butterflies on a cream ground with wide peaked lapels, black velvet collar, two front false flap pockets, and shaped long sleeves. Closes at front with black plastic button with four-leaf clover metal applique. Weights in hem. Lined in cream silk plain weave. Labelled at center back: "MARCEL ROCHAS / PARIS" Hand-written bolduc on reverse: "9553" Sleeveless "shell" blouse with high, pleated neck chiné printed with design of black or dark brown butterflies on cream ground (to match jacket). Opens at left side seam and closes with seven snaps there. A row of eight velvet-covered buttons runs up the center back, but only the top three are functional (they conceal three more metal snaps). Two v-shaped vents at center front and back. Seams are reinforced on the interior with silk plain weave ribbon. Long black pleated skirt of silk crepe with two plastic buttons with metal four-leaf clover applique (matching jacket) on waistband at front. Closes at left side with snaps and three hooks. Hits at center calf.
