Description: Pair of Wedgwood Queen's Ware dinner plates, printed and painted with Japanesque figures after prints by Osaka printmaker Utagawa Kunikazu (active 1849-67), with maple leaf borders below orange rims. Impressed marks.

Provenance/Ownership History: 2002, acquired from a London antiques shop by Jill Fenischell (dealer), New York; January 2003, sold by Jill Fenichell to Thomas Michie, Brookline, MA; 2011, gift of Thomas Michie to the MFA. (Accession Date: January 25, 2012)
