Description: One side with oval portrait of George Washington, on the other an adaptation of the great seal of the United States. beneath spout are the initials "TEF" framed in silver luster.

Provenance/Ownership History: Before 1990, acquired from Kenneth Snow (dealer; b. 1909 - d. 1990), Newburyport, MA, by S. Robert Teitelman (b. 1917 - d. 2008), Haverford, PA; August 22, 2010, posthumous Teitelman sale, Northeast Auctions, Portsmouth, NH, lot 763, to Timothy Phillips, Cambridge, MA; 2011, gift of Timothy Phillips to the MFA. (Accession date: February 29, 2012)
