Description: Fine high karat gold, openwork wire neck chain with elaborate tasel-like terminals and a central, oval slide decorated with granulation and cannetille wirework. In original, unmarked box indicating that there were matching earrings.

Provenance/Ownership History: Probably by the late 19th century, Josephine Cutter Burnett (b. 1830 – d. 1906), Boston; by descent to her granddaughter, Elizabeth Choate Spykman (b. 1896 – d. 1965), Boston; by inheritance to her daughters, Angelica Harter, Cambridge, MA and Patricia Winer, Bethany, CT; 2011, gift of Angelica Harter and Patricia Winer to the MFA.
