Description: Helmet type cap on raffia basketry support. Covered in skin or leather with protrusions created by knots in raffia underneath. Ridge across the top.

Provenance/Ownership History: April 5, 2006, sold by Douglas Dawson Gallery, Chicago, to a private collector; 2011, consigned by this private collector to Andres Moraga Textile Art, Berkeley, CA; 2011, sold by Andres Moraga to the MFA. (Accession date: September 21, 2011)
