Provenance/Ownership History: 1790, possibly one of 100 pitchers commissioned by Samuel Jenks (b. 1731 – d. 1801), Charlestown, MA [see note 1]. About 1999/2000, William and Teresa Kurau (dealers), Lempeter, PA; about 1999/2000, sold by William and Teresa Kurau to Timothy Phillips, Cambridge, MA; 2011, gift of Timothy Phillips to the MFA.
