Provenance/Ownership History: Probably about the 18th century, the library of the Trinitarian Order, Vienna [see note 1]. By 1998, Ursus Rare Books, New York; 1998, sold by Ursus Rare Books to Marit Rausing and given to her former son-in-law, Joseph Koerner, London and Cambridge, MA; 2012, gift of Joseph and Margaret Koerner to the MFA. (Accession Date: April 25, 2012) NOTE: [1] According to an inscription on the first title page. The Trinitarian monasteries in Austria were suppressed in 1783, and their property was probably sold soon thereafter.
