Private collection, Vienna; June 14, 2006, anonymous (Viennese private collection) sale, Sotheby’s, New York, lot 7, to Joseph and Margaret Koerner, London and Cambridge, MA; 2012, gift of Joseph and Margaret Koerner to the MFA. (Accession Date: April 25, 2012) NOTE: [1] Philipp Häusler was a designer for the Wiener Werkstätte, who served in an organizational role from 1920 to 1925. When the lamp was sold at auction in 2006, it was consigned with a number of other objects that had come from Häusler’s collection.
