Description: Mosaic pieced bed cover (or wall hanging) formed from thousands of printed cotton hexagons arranged in a composition of a large double-handled urn in a yellow ground as the center field, surrounded by a blue/brown outer border bearing the inscription: "Robert Streeten" on top-bottom and 1803 on the sides.
Provenance/Ownership History: Found in house in Cazenovia, New York; purchased from a private collector, Cazenovia, New York, by Cora Ginsburg LLC; 2011, sold by Cora Ginsburg LLC, New York, to the MFA (Accession date: March 28, 2012)
