Freedom of Expression: A Youth Perspective
The Museum opens its doors for a day of celebration with free general admission for all. Highlights include live performances, family art-making activities, and tours.

Generously supported by the MFA Associates and Senior Associates.

Special Events
Students from the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School's theater department perform monologues and short scenes.
American Sign Language Remis Auditorium, 11 am–Noon

The MFA in partnership with Sociedad Latina presents a musical showcase featuring Sociedad Latina's salsa music ensemble.

The MFA highlights films produced by young filmmakers from Mission Hill’s Sociedad Latina and the Community Art Center of Cambridge.

Boston Arts Academy and the Cambridge Youth Dance Program present creative storytelling through dance.

Linde Family Wing
Visit “Signs and Symbols,” the exhibition created by Boston children with local artist Caleb Neelon to find out what kids are saying. What do you want to say? Sketch ideas for your own sign, then visit the Workshop Studio to paint it.

What’s Your Sign? Part 2
Workshop Studio
Explore the art of words and messages. Color and decorate your sign with paint, glitter, markers, stamps and more.

Masterpiece Remix
Old Master Paintings Gallery
Choose a work of art that inspires, excites, or saddens you, and write about it. Rearrange your words into poetry and then make a new work of art that expresses your view.
