Painting in hanging scroll (thangka) format, with triangular banners on the bottom, without veil or streamers, painted with floral decoration on reverse.

A blue god (possibly Yama) dances atop a buffalo (?). The deity has 2 arms, holding a staff mounted with a blue head much like his own, and a noose. He wears elaborate ornaments including a crown and flowing scarves. He has a rectangular mark on his forehead. Above him is an elaborate, multi-colored canopy with pendant scarves and horse hair tassels. He is surrounded by large flowers. The background is a scrolling pattern of red on red. The reverse is painted with a repeated pattern of red and blue flowers against a trellis of yellow and green foliage.
