The actor Nakamura Nakazô I used the name Nakayama Kojûrô VI from 1785.11 to 1786.11; during this time, the name Nakamura Nakazô was used by his adopted son Nakamura Mansaku. At the performance illustrated in this print, the two actors returned to their previous names.
