In the 11th month of 1832, at the Kawarazaki theater, Ichikawa Danjûrô VIII appeared as Sadamitsu in Shibaraku. Ebizô also appeared in the play, but Kikugorô did not.

天保3年11月河原崎座で<8>市川団十郎が初暫(絵本番付によると将平親王<5>市川海老蔵、信ずみ<3>市川鰕十郎、貞光<8>市川団十郎)を行う。この時<3>尾上菊五郎は同座せず。

[1] Much of Bigelow's collection of Asian art was formed during his residence in Japan between 1882 and 1889, although he also made acquisitions in Europe and the United States. Bigelow deposited many of these objects at the MFA in 1890 before donating them to the Museum's collection at later dates.
