Afternoon dress. Pale blue silk damask with leaf and floral motifs. Overdress: V placket front and square back neckline; sack (Watteau) back; fitted elbow length sleeves with lace inset and double deep asymmetrical scalloped ruffles; neckline, sleeves and front line panels trimmed with white silk rick-rack; linen bodice lining. Petticoaty fullness pleated into waistline; tie-tape closure at rear. Condition: underarms stained.
