DescriptionThis bag-shaped jar, known as an alabastron, has two small knob-handles with pierced holes for suspension. The base is rounded, and the rim is rolled and everted.
ProvenanceFrom Nuri, pyramid 15 (tomb of Nastasen). 1917: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
