The early Meiji government was known as Daijôkan or Dajôkan; the former pronunciation seems to be preferred in general, but the latter is more common when referring to the banknotes, Dajôkansatsu. According to Japanese-language Wikipedia, notes of this kind were printed in 1868-9 and were in use until 1879. The Machida City Museum catalogue identifies Matsuda Rokuzan as the printer (probably also the artist and engraver).
