DescriptionBaltimore album quilt of twenty-five squares of pieced and appliquéd plain weave printed cotton. The squares are embellished with silk embroidery, watercolor and names written in ink. Central square is of an eagle and flag surrounded by floral wreath and baskets, hunting scene below and Goddess of Liberty above. Central squares possibly designed by Mary Simon. Triple outer border of two bands of red and yellow Third Empire style border enclosing white cotton band quilted with laurel vine.
