DescriptionAltar valance or hanging of dark red silk damask with design of horizontal bands of Chinese lions along the bottom, phoenix and pomegranates in the middle and butterflies and gourds along the top embroidered in blue, green, yellow and white silk, black cord and couched gold-wrapped thread; trimmed with bands of black satin piped with light blue satin; lined with white plain-weave cotton.
