OBV: AM I NOT A WOMAN and A SISTER-1838, separated by rosette at either end, around female slave, kneeling on grassy ground line, in supplicating attitude, facing sinister, her two arms raised before her, from which hangs a chain; she is draped from waist handles; surrounded by beaded cirlce unattached to rim. Edge plain. REV: UNITED STATED OF AMERICA around LIBERTY-1838 within laurel wreath composed of a single branch; surrounded by beaded circle.
