[this copy lacking portraits of Ammianus Marcellinus and Gronovius]; bound in old vellum with blind-stamped cartouche on front and rear boards. Bookplate of Reverend William Shepherd on front pastedown.

Early 1990s, part of the estate of a private collection, Toronto, ON; passed by descent to Monika Griffiths, Toronto; 2015, sold by Monika Griffiths to an anonymous collector, Brookline, MA; 2016, anonymous year-end gift to the MFA.
