This broken amphora has an undulating rim profile and two loop handles attached just below. Most of the lower half is broken off and missing except for one large fragment that remains. The exterior surface has some white incrustations and black discolorations. The upper body has variously shaped incised pot marks. Two are basic crossed-line patterns, while one is forked shape.

From Nuri. Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan.
