DescriptionThis amulet is made of a uniform pale green faience with a slight glaze remaining. It depicts the standing figure of the god Ptah in his human form, with several characteristic attributes, including mummiform wrappings, a close-fitting skull cap and was-scepter. There is a hole at the back of the neck for suspension. Ptah is the ancient creator god of Memphis, patron of craftsmen.
