An overdress of reddish-purple velvet; hooked to waist down center front, long leg-of-mutton sleeves, cut across center front back waistcoat and finished with six large cut steel buttons, long skirt at sides and back with center back seam open, fullness in pleats at center back, short standing collar all around deep turned back collar all around deep turned back collar at back only, boned with upper part lined with cotton, skirt lined with striped reddish-purple silk, on waistband woven label: Mme. George, Baltimore Md.
