Obverse: Bust of Barye looking three-quarters to proper right; inscribed at edge “·A·L·BARYE·SCULPTEUR·MEMBRE·DE·L’INSTITUT·1796-1875·” and at proper right “A·PATEY”.
Reverse: Lion sculpture by Barye (signed on base) and sculptor’s tools depicted in exergue; inscribed on base of lion sculpture “BARYE/1832” and at proper right “A·PATEY”.
