DescriptionGround: three flounces of cream-colored satin (mounted on pink silk, probably not part of original apron). Design: flowers, scrolls, etc. worked in satin stitch with pink, orange, blue, green, and cream-colored silk, and couched gold and silver thread. Trimmed with silk fringe. Stained.
Provenance1935, Charles Goldschmidt (dealer), Paris [see note]; July 7, 1935, sold by Goldschmidt to Carrie Lauer Lehman (d. 1937), Paris and New York; to her husband, Philip Lehman (b. 1861 - d. 1947), New York; 1938, gift of Philip Lehman to the MFA. (Accession Date: April 14, 1938)
