DescriptionThe identification of the figure as Nasu no Yoichi at the Battle of Yashima is supported by the fact that two of the background figures resemble Yoshitsune and Benkei. If this identification is correct, then the print is probably the left sheet of a diptych, with the right sheet showing a Taira lady in a ship holding up a fan as a target.
