This is a fragment of an arm or leg. The stone is black granodiorite with sporadic black biotite inclusions and mica, the break areas look granulated. GD5.

Provenance

From Nubia (Sudan), Kerma, K III 6(1) about 100 cm north of 14-1-1075 (the latter being found "in loose disturbed debris about 80 cm under surface"). 1914: Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
