Small escutcheon-shaped purse. Panels of linen canvas embroidered with polychrome silk. Stitches include: tent stitch, French knot, satin stitch. Different motifs on either side. Obverse: man in stream holding lobster; reverse: birds in wooded setting. Gilt-galloon binding. Two pleated side panels of figured cloth-of-silver. Yellow metallic frame with incised floral motif marked “23” in center; stud closure; one screw missing. Salmon silk lining.
