The base is flat, and the rim is slightly rolled and everted. It is heavy. It has small projections on the sides. It has horizontal veining. There is a small decayed area at the bottom of the jar. It is complete.

From Abydos, Osiris Temenos. 1902: excavated by William Matthew Flinders Petrie for the Egypt Exploration Fund, assigned to the Egypt Exploration Fund in the division of finds by the government of Egypt, received by the MFA through subscription to the Egypt Exploration Fund on November 17, 1902.
