DescriptionThis bag-shaped jar has a very small, flat base (with rounded edges), an outwardly pulled rim, and a thin red wash with possible signs of some burnishing. It was once broken into many pieces but has been mended and is now virtually complete.
ProvenanceFrom Kerma, Cemetery S, grave 33A. 1914: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan.
