DescriptionVertical banner (nobori) of imported red wool with appliquéd figure of warrior, ranking as an army general with 16th century regalia, in couched gold-wrapped thread and outlined with black twisted silk cord; face and hands embroidered in white silk, glass eyes; border on four sides with design of "Seven Treasures" pattern (shippô tsunagi) on black plain-weave silk (along top and bottom) and blue twill-weave silk with blue silk and gilt paper strip discontinuous supplementary patterning wefts (along sides); appliquéd crest at top with design of three linked hexagons with floral motifs inside (mitsumori kikkô ni hanabishi); attached hanging loops along top and one side of light blue silk damask. Pair with 01.5922.

These banners are used on floats at religious festivals.
