DescriptionBark cloth (tapa cloth) with design of checkerboard pattern. Two and one-half comparments subdivided into blocks of geometric and organic designs painted in dark brown on predominantly natural-colored ground made from the pounded inner bark of the mulberry tree; single and double borders repeat the block motifs; one and one-half compartment with a Maltese cross and three circles painted in dark brown on light brown painted ground.
