DescriptionShell-shaped basket with mermaid at end of the extended curved, overarching handle. Rests on dolphin feet, and has a border of pierced and chased openwork, and cast encrusted shells.
Marks Struck underneath with hallmarks (leopard's head, lion passant, date letter for 1755-6) and with maker's mark of Phillips Garden (Grimwade 2185).
