A basket-form vase with large handle, decorated with Art Nouveau inspired floral decoration in gold, magenta, purple, green and blue, and with a photographically transferred portrait from a 17th-century Netherlandish source in a medallion on front.

Inscription

Model number incised below factory mark, on underside of base: "171/ W."

Markings

Painted in brown enamel on underside of base: factory mark (a small house) with "MADE IN/ HOLLAND". Painter's mark "A. L." painted above.
