The beaker is barrel-shaped, with chased fluting on the lower half. The plain section above has a cast of grapes and vines. The vessel was raised or spun and has an applied wire at the rim and a foot rim of gilt wire cast with husks. The interior of the beaker is gilt.

Monogram engraved on side, ED for Elizabeth Derby.

Markings

On underside, maker's mark RC (Grimwade 2289); lion passant; leopard's head crowned; date letter E; sovereign's head.
