DescriptionThe beaker is barrel-shaped, with chased fluting on the lower half. The plain section above has a cast of grapes and vines. The vessel was raised or spun and has an applied wire at the rim and a foot rim of gilt wire cast with husks. The interior of the beaker is gilt.
Marks On underside, maker's mark RC (Grimwade 2289); lion passant; leopard's head crowned; date letter E; sovereign's head.
InscriptionsMonogram engraved on side, ED for Elizabeth Derby.
