DescriptionSilver; silver gilt. Engraved with initials 'JWS'. Maker's mark unclear. Unintelligible marks engraved on reverse of footrim. Silver beaker with trumpet-shaped body, separated from its circular base and smooth footrim by banded moulding. The lip-band and stem are decorated with a gilt engraved frieze. A coiled band, set with three cast cherubs' heads, is set above the stem frieze. A molded band, set with three rings parallel to the cherub heads, is set directly beneath the lip-band frieze decoration. The initials 'JWS' are engraved on the body.
