DescriptionPieced, embroidered, and appliqued quilt of wool plain weave in blue and gray alternating blocks, blue squares appliqued and embroidered with flowers, birds and animals with polychrome wool. Quilt signed with the initials "A.Y.P." and dated "1841." Edges bound with blue wool tape, backed with pale yellow linen and cotton.
