DescriptionShaped bed valence; linen ground cloth (2 pieces) embroidered with symmetrical design of undulating vine bearing large flowers, growing from foot of central tree in which are perched three small birds in several shades of pink, yellow, orange, blue and green wool, and a little white wool; red wool tape binding around edge; stems, tree trunk and branches in multiple rows of stems stitch; outlines of leaves and flowers in stem stitch; leaves, flowers, and mound at bottom filled in with Roumanian couching or New England laid stitch; orange stamen of flowers flanking tree at center are of white rows of stem stitch couched with orange threads
