Bedspread made of three widths of material; silk lampas; light blue ground with design, in taupe and ivory silk wefts, of be-ribboned poodles dancing on scrolls, Vulcan at forge, sea horse and fountain, swags, trophies of war, caduceus, etc.; border, sewed on all four sides, of rinceau with serpents and caryatids on sides; in each corner a lion’s head; only center panel unseamed; slightly faded in irregular areas; trimmed on all four edges with pale blue and ivory silk galloon; lined with ivory taffeta; cracked in many places.
