Bedspread, made of four widths, only one of which is complete; pieced in each lower corner. Brown ink on natural cotton. Design shows alternating horizontal bands of landscape with figures: at left, in first band, a pair of lovers in gardern (spring); at right, same figures walking in wheat field, holding scythe and rake (summer). In second band, at left, pair gathering grapes (autumn); at right, man ice-skating while woman watches. Cotton browned and brittle, many small tears and holes. Trimmed on three sides with natural cotton fringe.
