Wide bench with spindle decoration along back and beneath arms, with turned legs and stretchers, spiral arm supports, and leather seat and back.
Inscribed on the seat, under upholstery: "James Barry / Miss Williams girl / of the shop of N.N. Cully."
Designed for the Ames Free Library, North Easton, Massachusetts, and used there until given to the Museum by the Library Trustees (Accession Date: April 11, 1962)
