In the center of a swarming crowd, Judas plants the kiss that identifies Jesus to the Roman soldiers. In the foreground, Simon Peter draws his sword to attack a Roman servant. In the background, a figure wearing only a linen cloth flees the scene, a detail of the betrayal discussed in the gospel of Mark.
