DescriptionThis bulging ovoid black-polished jar has a rounded base (almost a rounded point), a highly constricted neck, a flaring neck, and a rolled rim. It is complete and intact.
ProvenanceFrom Kerma, Cemetery S, Tumulus III, grave K 313. 1913: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; 1920: assigned to the MFA by the government of the Sudan.
