This somewhat deep hemispherical cup is fashioned of black-topped redware clay fabric. It is in slight battered condition with a hold in one side.

Provenance

From Nuri, Pyramid 40 (tomb of Queen Makmale). 1918: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan.
