This is a nearly symmetical convex sided jar of black-topped redware. It shows signs of burnishing.

Provenance

From Seali/Meris (Egypt) (ASN40/ 3, 1908). Excavated by Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition for the Archaeological Survey of Nubia; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the Egyptian government.
