This squat jar is made of redware and shows some polishing. The vessel seems to have blackened during firing but prior to polishing. The rim is slightly everted.

Provenance

Bahan. (ASN 17/50). 1907: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition for the Archaeological Survey of Nubia; awarded to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
